God our Father, Give of life,
we entrust the United States of America to Your loving care.
You are the rock on which this nation was founded.
You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to live,
liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people.
Send Your Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders.
Open their minds to the great worth of human life
and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom.
Remind Your people that true happiness
is rooted in seeking and doing Your will.
Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death.”
Lead us into a new millennium of life.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Amen

I Will Pour Out Upon Everyone a Portion of My Spirit [Acts 2:17]
Dear Holy Spirit,
I place myself under your total power, guidance, and control.
I surrender to you my intellect, my talent,
my will, and my entire self.
Hover over me as you did at the Baptism of Jesus.
May I be filled with the Holy Spirit and with love!
May the Spirit of the Lord be stirred within me,
so that I might be God’s chosen instrument
to touch the hearts of every soul
and to lead them to the Lord, their God.
Empower me to discern;
Enable me to do and to complete the work to which
I have been called during my earthly life.
Spirit of the Living God, fall abundantly upon me.
Mold me, use me, lead me, and guide me.
Transform me to become more like Christ.
Amen
